Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He combines soul gospel jazz and R&B to make a distinctive mixture. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Avery Sunshine has been a hit anywhere. Sunshine's birth title is Denise White. The singer hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by singing and playing piano in church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her musical path in the Atlanta's R&B music scene. First song featuring her voice was called Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12 track. It has been remixed and is a part of her set. Her voice also appeared on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. She was appointed as the sole keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who performed on stage in the production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007 she was approached by Tyler Perry to be the leader of the choral group for this theatrical production. Sunshine received national attention in her four performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2009 inauguration.
